SEPARATE DISCOUNT COLUMN

Separate Discount Column is the column in which we determine the discount value for purchase/sale.

Example:-

IBM company purchased 20 pieces of HCL Computer for Rs. 25,000 each and keeps the stock in Kanpur godown. The company sold 10 pieces of Computer for Rs. 30,000 each at 2% discount.

Record the above transactions.

To maintain:-

Create a company and then activate separate discount column as follow:-

To Activate Separate Discount Column: - G.O.T. (Gateway of Tally)--> press F11 (Company Features)--> press F2 (Inventory Features).

And then create godown as given below:-

Path for create godown: - G.O.T. (Gateway of Tally)--> Inventory Info--> Godown--> Create (Single).

Now create stock group as follow:-

To Create Stock Group: - G.O.T. (Gateway of Tally)--> Inventory Info--> Stock Group--> Create.

After that, create stock item:-

To Create Stock Item: - G.O.T. (Gateway of Tally)--> Inventory Info--> Stock Item--> Create.

And then create ledger and do voucher entry:-

Path for ledger creation: - G.O.T. (Gateway of Tally)--> accounts info--> ledger--> create (single).

First we will do purchase voucher entry.

Path for voucher creation: - G.O.T. (Gateway of Tally)--> Inventory Voucher--> press F9 (Purchase Voucher).

After that fill the form as follow:-

And then accept it by pressing “enter” key as follow:-

And now do sales voucher entry:-

Path for voucher creation: - G.O.T. (Gateway of Tally)--> Inventory Voucher--> press F8 (Sales Voucher).

After that fill the form as follow:-

 Accept the sales voucher by pressing “enter” key.

STOCK JOURNAL VOUCHER

STOCK JOURNAL VOUCHER

Stock Journal Voucher is used to transfer our stock from one godown to another godown.

To open Stock Journal Voucher press “Alt + F7”.

Example: - Sony Pvt. Ltd. Company purchased 40 pieces of Dell Computer for Rs. 25,000 each. The company keeps the stock in a godown of Gorakhpur which is in main location. Company transferred 10 pieces of Dell Computer to Kanpur and 10 pieces to Lucknow for Rs. 25,000 each.

Record the above transactions.

To maintain:- Create a company and activate godown as well as we have done in previous topic “Godown”.

After that create godown as given below:-

Path for create godown: - G.O.T. (Gateway of Tally)--> Inventory Info--> Godown--> Create (Single).

 And now create stock master as follow:-

To Create Stock Group: - G.O.T. (Gateway of Tally)--> Inventory Info--> Stock Group--> Create.

And then create stock item:-

To Create Stock Item: - G.O.T. (Gateway of Tally)--> Inventory Info--> Stock Item--> Create.

And then create ledger as follow:-

Path for ledger creation: - G.O.T. (Gateway of Tally)--> Accounts Info--> Ledger--> Create (Single).

And then do voucher entry as follow:-

 Path for voucher creation: - G.O.T. (Gateway of Tally)--> Inventory Voucher--> press F9 (Purchase Voucher).

After that press “enter” on it and then as follow:-

Again press “enter”.

And then accept it by again pressing “enter”.

Now view the summary of Gorakhpur godown as follow:-

Path for view summary of Gorakhpur godown: - G.O.T. (Gateway of Tally)--> Display--> Statement of Inventory--> Godown--> Gorakhpur.

Now do Stock Journal Voucher entry by pressing “Alt + F7” to transfer stocks from one godown to another.

Path for voucher creation: - G.O.T. (Gateway of Tally)--> Inventory Voucher--> press “Alt + F7”to open Stock Journal Voucher.

Now view the summary of Kanpur godown as follow:-

Path for view summary of Kanpur godown: - G.O.T. (Gateway of Tally)--> Display--> Statement of Inventory--> Godown-->Kanpur.

Also view the summary of Lucknow.

Path for view summary of Lucknow godown: - G.O.T. (Gateway of Tally)--> Display--> Statement of Inventory--> Godown--> Lucknow.

GODOWN

GODOWN

Godown is a place where a trader keeps his stock.

There are two pre-defined godown in tally:-

       a)    Main Location

       b)   Primary

Example:-

Tally Pvt. Ltd. Company purchased 50 pieces of HCL Computer for Rs. 25,000 each. The company keeps the stock in a godown of Gorakhpur which is in main location. The company sold 5 pieces of HCL Computer for Rs. 30,000 each from Gorakhpur godown.

Record the above transactions.

To maintain:-

First of all we have to create a company and then activate godown as follow:-

To Activate Godown: - G.O.T. (Gateway of Tally)--> press F11 (Company Features)--> press F2 (Inventory Features).

Now create godown as given below:-

Path for create godown: - G.O.T. (Gateway of Tally)--> Inventory Info--> Godown--> Create (single).

And then the box given below will be appear:-

Now fill the godown form as follow:-

And now create stock master (stock group, stock item and units of measure) as follow:-

To Create Stock Group: - G.O.T. (Gateway of Tally)--> Inventory Info--> Stock Group--> Create.

And then create stock item:-

To Create Stock Item: - G.O.T. (Gateway of Tally)--> Inventory Info--> Stock Item--> Create.

Here units of measure is created directly in stock item by pressing “Alt + C”. You can also create unit by the path given in the topic “How To Maintain Inventory”.

And then create ledger as follow:-

Path for ledger creation: - G.O.T. (Gateway of Tally)--> accounts info--> ledger--> create (single).

After that, do voucher entries.

Path for voucher creation: - G.O.T. (Gateway of Tally)--> Inventory Voucher--> press F9 (Purchase Voucher).

Now press “enter” on “HCL” and a box will be appear as follow:-
